We deliver Grow Greener digestate manure to gardens, allotments and to farms throughout east Anglia.
Grow Greener digestate is a bi-product from our anaerobic digester. Before being ready for your gardens, allotments or farms it plays a vital role in producing electricity. This process takes around 47 days.
All the crops that go into the digester are produced here on our farm which consists of maize, rye and farm yard manure. This mix activates a bacteria at a temperature ranging from 44 to 50 degrees celsius, which encourages gases to be released. The gas is transferred into electricity and supplied to the grid. The heat from the electric generator is used to dry the farms crops, grain maize in particular.
Grow Greener digestate is separated into a solid and liquid form during the production process. It has a lovely texture and can be used as a mulch, soil conditioner and is ideal for no dig gardening. It’s considered to be a natural fertiliser with available nitrogen, P&K and other trace elements all of which supply goodness to the soil and plants alike.
